#DearMama-Meet Me (Again)
Motherhood hasn’t ever really looked “typical” for me. It was like straight out the womb, DJ was going to make me work (if you haven’t read his birth story, you can do that here) and I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever had before. Theres appointments, therapies, developmental charts, and assessments, it can be extremely overwhelming. But there’s nothing like seeing him defy the odds. From the very beginning he’s exceeded everyones expectations, and I know for a fact not only was it a miracle-but because we’ve put in the work.
I don’t deny that I put life on hold to take care of DJ-because I did and I don’t regret it for one second. There was just so much to get used to and I know that I wouldn’t have been able to do much of anything else. But now, now I’ve entered into a whole new season of motherhood. A season where I can breathe. Get to know me, Kiara the woman, outside of being a mother. Or a partner. Or whatever other label that I have. Just me. Let me tell you, its a little scary! Lol I’m getting to pursue things that I’ve put on hold, like finishing my bachelors degree. I’ve even gotten to pursue things I never even thought I would…like creating a t-shirt.
I wanted to create something that would personify my style and one of the most important roles I’ll ever have in life. Something that we ALL could wear for whatever motherhood throws our way.

Its a known fact that we do what we have to do for our babies. Just remember to show up for you too sis. You got this and Im rooting for you.
