So I close my eyes to old ends and open my heart to new beginnings

Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were filled with quality time and many memories made. We were low-key this year with DJs birthday and Christmas, but nonetheless we enjoyed it!

I don't know how to accurately describe how 2017 went for me. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. I didn't feel like I really made much progress. Honestly, it kinda felt like I just stayed afloat. Like all year I was just trying to maintain. In my spiritual life, social media, relationships. It felt like I was barely keeping up, and I didn't like that feeling at all. I decided that not only would I change my outlook but I would make a vision board to help me manifest what I wanted my 2018 to look like.

I'm a visual person, so I knew this year I needed something that I could physically see and hold in my hands. Last year my board was digital and I shared some intentions for 2017 on here. This year though, my sister and I decided to do it the old fashioned way; so we printed out pictures, grabbed some glue sticks, and got to working on our vision boards.

I didn't have a theme per se to my vision board, I just knew that I wanted it to mirror the Glow Up I want to aspire to this year. So instead I chose a word I wanted to signify this year and I chose consistency. I looked at all the aspects of my life that I want to be stronger, better, more equipped in, and that's what I put on my board. I used a mixture of personal goals, scriptures, quotes, inspirations for my board and I'm super hyped about how it came out.
