#SoulFoodSunday: Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Happy Sunday! When I think of Sundays I think of two things: church and good food. Growing up, we knew after church we would have a family dinner, whether it be going out or homemade. We fed our souls and then our bellies and it was just good.
So that's where Soul Food Sunday here on the blog started from. Every other Sunday I'm gonna share a recipe and a little encouragement for the both of us. Yesterday I made these BOMB banana chocolate chip muffins that an IG mama friend Jaqueline gave me the recipe for. Simple ingredients, took 30 miuntes of prep and cook time, and they were super moist (and waaaaay better than the pre mixed ones I usually make) You can find the recipe here.
Since we're still in January and everyone is still (hopefully) going strong with their resolutions and plans, I figured we could start off with this scripture from Jeremiah-
As I look over my vision board, I see all the plans and goals I want to achieve this year. I prayed that if it was in His will, that all these desires of my heart will happen. But what happens if I hit a roadblock? What happens if some trial or tribulation arises that prevents my plans? What if it all doesn't happen in 2018? Does that mean this scripture doesnt apply to me? Not at all. Its easy to get caught up in the hiccups of life, but that doesnt mean God isn't working on our behalf. His plans aren't thwarted by temporary hardships. In this life we will face some hurt and pain, a setback or two, but we can be encouraged that He will see us through every step of the way. As we go about making our 2018 our best year yet, dont be discouraged if you dont accomplish everything. Instead hold on to the fact that Gods plans are bigger and better than we can ever imagine.
