I don't think I can gush about this lady anymore than I already do (I mean I could but then it'd just get weird lol) But its just awesome to see truly God ordained friendships. For those of you that don't know, Gianna and I met through Instagram; she started following me back when DJ first came home from the NICU. One look at her gorgeous pictures (she's an AHMAZING photographer) and her sweet babe Norah and I knew I had to follow back. We began to chat more and more and before I knew it, we became Insta-friends. We recently were able to meet up for a coffee date and after those 2 1/2 hours, we left as real life friends. I am so glad she agreed to be apart of this mini series about motherhood. So lets dive in!

A little bit about her

I've been married for three and a half years to somebody who is the complete opposite of me! We have certainly had our struggles and I honestly feel like we're just now finding our stride in marriage. He complements me in the best way and is strong in the areas I'm weak, so I'm so thankful the Lord saw fit to bring us together! We welcomed our first baby, Norah Avary, last May (HOW IS SHE ALMOST ONE) and she has completely changed our world! I never knew I wanted to be a mama as much as  I did until I found out I was pregnant, it was as if something shifted in me and I was becoming who I was meant to be all along--that may sound dramatic, but it's true! She has affected every area of my life, including my business and passion for photography. I feel like I'm finding who I am again in that area of my life and it's so exciting!

What has been the best part of motherhood? Toughest part?

[The best part] Getting to watch this tiny person grow up and learn things everyday! It's so amazing and it's truly a gift. [Toughest part] The fact that motherhood is 24/7. There's no sick or personal days--you can't call in when you're just not feeling up to the challenge. That may sound a bit silly, but there are some days that become a week, or longer, that are just tough!

How do you balance business and being a mom?

Well, I've never been much of a business person, even with having a photography business for the last two years. But being a mom and having a small business certainly brings some challenges! I've learned that I need to realize that I am first a mom and then a business owner. Business (emails, editing) can wait until Norah goes down for a nap or goes to bed. I still struggle with that, but I'm working on it!

What has given you the most joy as a mother so far?

The love my daughter has for me and her daddy is just the sweetest! She just wants to spend time with us and it's adorable.

Isnt she awesome yall? Thank you Gianna for new found friendship and allowing me to feature you and sweet Norah. Check out her links below and show her some love <3
